Alps Village Restaurant in Palm Desert

We didn't need a reservation for lunch. We had the best Reuben sandwich ever! Service was excellent and friendly. Place is clean, and they have a variety of seating outdoors also. I will recommend this place to everyone.

The service was very impressive, and the food was delicious.

The first time visiting this place with the family from out of town. Everything was wonderful. The service was excellent. Great suggestions for being a first time costumer. The portions are more than what you pay for! Will definitely be making a return next time I'm in the area.

Service was excellent. Menu has changed from last season. Portion size is smaller (which is maybe a good thing). We ordered Jaegerschnitzel which was very good, like before, but about half the size and maybe a few bucks cheaper. We also ordered the Käsespätzle which was just OK. We were in Austria this summer, so we have an idea of what it is supposed to taste like. The primary flavor in the authentic version is cheese. The dish from Alps Village did not have this same flavor. It mostly tasted of onion. We ordered bacon for $2. This was the worst part of the dish. Both the onion and the bacon tasted like they were "air popped." This probably lowered the number of calories but changed the taste for the worse.

Tasty food, although service was a slow on the day we were there despite only being half full. We had pretzels and sausages for appetizers, main courses of chicken skewers, pork schnitzel sandwich, salad, and pasta ... all of which we'd get again. If service speeds up I'd give them a 5 star review

Had Jägerschnitzel (pork) with spaetzle topped with brown mushroom gravy, excellent! My wife had the lemon caper sauce chicken schnitzel and was very pleased. Make a reservation, I believe they are closed on Sundays. Casual place with several large TVs visible from every seat in the place. Good service and we will be back to try some other items

We really like Alps. Great Beer Pretzels and Schnitzels !Schnitzel al Holstein with the Fried egg is Awesome. But we often get Skinny Schnitzel and have them top with an egg.Spaghetti Bolognese is rich and decadent.The cheese butter is oh so good.And best of all is Blanka. Owners pour their heart and sole into this place.

Nice ambience and very amiable service. The menu was fresh and yummy. Will surely recommend this place to friends and family. Fair rates and large meals. Great job.

Instead of a warm greeting, the 1st thing we were asked was if we had reservations... when we said no, she looked around the more than half empty restaurant and acted as if they couldn’t accommodate us. Nice atmosphere inside.Short wait for server and meal. Hubby enjoyed his meal of sausage sampler. His potatoes were excellent. I ordered mashed potatoes with my meal and they were not only lukewarm, they were instant with clumps that were unmixed. Our waitress wasn’t friendly, but the other waitstaff made up for it. They noticed we needed refills and helped out. Meal for two $71.

Love this hidden Gem , best Slavic/German Food on the Planet . Highly reccomend to everyone I know and meet . And the staff is amazing . All the way from the Top with Ms Blanca down to the Bus boy Chris .

This restaurant is my favored. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The team is very receptive and the cooking they place on your table is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice meal here. Highly recommended.

We can’t wait to go back. So nice to be able get some German food that tastes like home cooking. They had trouble with their pos system the night we were there so there was a bit of a wait, but they were all really nice and communicated with us all.

This place is amazing! Drink an icy cold beer and enjoy some large portion sizes and delicious food. Seriously, their caper sauce is fantastic, the sausage platter is great, and ask for a beer recommendation, you won't be disappointed! This place is a favorite of my husband and I. The staff is so friendly.

You need reservations for a place that is located in what others would call a stipmall or industrial complex. When I went onto yelp and checked the web, they did not advertise that reservations were needed. In general the food was okay. I came with a party of 3 who each had something different. We each came to the conclusion that our main meals were okay. Our favorite was the soft pretzel appetizer.

The place is on the smaller side, but well worth the small walking spaces. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We order the sausage platter as an appetizer, they only had one kind of sausage left, it was delicious. I had the cabbage stuffed rolls with mash potatoes, delicious. The rest of my party order the goulash, very good; a sampler, and the schnitzel smothered with mushroom gravy/sauce, also delicious. They also have lighter dishes, salads, pizzas, and even vegetarian & vegan. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

Wow the food was amazing. This is a nice family run business and you can taste the love and passion in the food and drink. This is a must try.

Very good food! The apple Strudel was perfection. Nice atmosphere especially for outdoor service during a pandemic in the beginning of July in the desert. Friendly staff very clean and inviting. 😷

two days ago was our first time in this place. But It is no doubt not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the efficient service, with the finest food and wine and with the honest cost. We will definitely visit there again.

Fantastic service and ambience. I wish a few more traditional dishes were on the menu, but we love this place. Very accommodating to large groups and the main server is phenomenal.

We met with friends at this place for a meeting. we heard about this restaurant from quite a few people. Well, it was very successful. the crew were so friendly and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was great. We loved this place a lot and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.

last night was our first time in this good restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We had great time with the efficient service, with the exceptional meal and wine and with the comfortable charge. We will definitely go back there again.

All the meals were terrific. We had chicken shnitzel, Jaeger spetzel, and the eggplant dinner. All delicious. Very noisy inside though.

First time here with family members for my Fathers 63rd Birthday gathering. Definitely a solid experience. We enjoy German cuisine! Service very good last night on Monday and place was packed. We made reservations which I read is a good idea. Frankizaner and Hofbrau beer on point! Goulash fries are a must have they went FAST! The goulash plate itself worth every penny according to my wife! I heard the schnitzel was decent by two at our table but not outstanding. I had the cordon bleu and it was good! Apparently the fish and chips are not to be missed per my relative that joined us. Spaetzle was just bland and not a favorite.A little too noisy inside good luck trying to have a conversation. I'll sit outside next time. Like the cool decor inside. Staff helpful and nice. But overall yes a good place a little pricey for those that care. $165 for 4 entrees and two beers.

My parents have been coming here for quite a while, and have been raving about their food. I finally had a chance to join them, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is very cute. It's kind of rustic Western meets the Alps. The food was delicious! I had the Jaeger Schnitzel and loved it so much! Their spaeztel is a little bit more seasoned than I'm used to but it was very tasty as well! The service was great. I will definitely be going here again!

My first time here so I got the Sampler which has a bit of everything. Overall good German food though our waitress was not helpful regarding any modifications to the sides offered with the plates. The best was the smoked bratwurst and ripped potatoes - absolutely delicious! The pork Wienerschnitzel was good but not super. I am not a fan of Spatzel with nutmeg so that was a loss. The beef cordon bleu was also worth a repeat Nice selection of central European beers to complement your meal.

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit. The food was great and the staff were so friendly with our daughter! The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. There were two birthday celebrations while we were there and it seemed like everyone was having a great time!

Always get the Stuffed Cabbage with Mashed Potatoes or the Sausages with housemade Sauerkraut. Salivating just thinking about it! My husband gets the Goulash. Mom loves the Fish n Chips. The place is quaint with pictures Eastern Europeans in their beer drinking best!

First of all, make a reservation, this place gets crowded very fast. Everything my group had was delicious. Bring a very big appetite, the meals are very well served. The staff is super nice and will constantly check on you. Will definitely come back!
